The School of Journalism sought input from its student organizations to help plan and design Journalism Week 2008. Two new activities this year include student competitions with a $250 grand prize for each.
AD DESIGN COMPETITION
Design an ad (poster) to promote political participation among your college peers and other young voters, ages 18-25.
Topics can range from voting, to registering to vote, to encouraging voters to just learn more about the election, including engagement with new media tactics, such as blogging, online registration and user-generated content. Designs should not be for specific candidates, nor endorse one party or candidate. Posters supporting specific candidates will be disqualified.
Deadline: March 20 (4:45 p.m.)
See complete details on posters throughout Martin Hall and retrieve an entry from the SOJ main office (room 113) or from Prof. Cathy Mezera (room 312).
Or download information here:
The winning entry will be announced on Friday, April 4, at the end of Journalism Week 2008. Prize money is subject to taxes.
Sponsored by the School of Journalism and SOJ student organizations.
